Case Problem Statement
The patient, a 24-year-old otherwise healthy female, referred to clinic by primary care provider for 8 days of euphoric mood, decreased need for sleep, pressured speech, and hazardous goal-directed behawvior which resolved 2 weeks ago. She denies current or prior hallucinations, substance use, self-harm, paranoid ideations, or suicidal or homicidal ideation. Vital signs are stable and physical exam i1s unremarkable. Mental state exam shows depressed mood and affect. Previous medical records and labs do not reveal non-psychiatric etiologies
